Experiential Learning/ROPES -

Experiential Learning/ROPES

Tell me and I will forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I will understand ...

Experiential learning is the process of involving the participant fully in the learning process.  This often includes, emotional, cognitive and physical aspects to the learning process.  The ultimate in experiential learning is a ROPES course.  The ROPES course (as does much experiential learning) operates by using metaphors, making comparisons of one situation or experience to another.  We provide an experience that “teaches” a concept or skill and the participant takes that learning and reapplies it (to the work setting).

Our ROPES course provides additional tools for building skills in leading and teaming.  Being fun, challenging, awareness building and skill building, the ROPES elements will accelerate the learning and change process.  Appropriate selection and facilitation of ROPES elements is critical to achieving the outcomes you need.  We pride ourselves on the select usage of this tool and our expert facilitation.

Our high elements are all dynamically belayed emphasizing teaming and interdependence.  We use the elements 12 months a year.

We have onsite a mix of low and high elements both out on the 175 acres and inside “the barn”.  The elements include:

Low Elements include:  The Wall, Trust Fall, Paradise Island, Spider’s Web, Whale Watch, Mohawk Walk

High Elements include: Pamper Pole, Hour Glass and Burma Bridge
